Preventative Care
Although twice-daily brushings and regular flossing are excellent for maintenance between office visits, regular examinations, cleanings, and even fluoride treatments are an absolute necessity if you are to maintain a healthy mouth. Our staff will help you keep your teeth and gums strong and disease-free. To schedule a cleaning or consultation, please contact our office today.
Periodontics
Periodontal (gum) disease can lead to more than just an unsightly smile—it can cause loss of teeth and, eventually, if left untreated, serious health problems. Called gingivitis in its early stages, periodontal disease is caused by excessive toxic bacteria (found in plaque) that attack your mouth’s soft tissues. Early warning signs of the disease include red, swollen, bleeding gums. If caught early, we can help you reverse the damage or if detected late, we can use one of many effective cosmetic dentistry procedures to restore your mouth to a healthy, beautiful state.
Teeth Whitening
As you age, you may begin to notice that your teeth aren't quite the same shade of white that they were in your youth. Typically, noticeable discoloration begins in the late 20s and early 30s. A variety of factors can speed up the discoloration process including chemical staining from drinking caffeine and smoking, a genetic predisposition to early yellowing, and the onset of gum and tooth disease. Cosmetic dentists have a very extensive choice of tooth whitening systems. The level of whiteness that can be achieved will depend on the level of discoloration of the teeth and how they came to be stained. Please call to ask about our monthly specials and get that Hollywood smile today. Dentist near me.
Endodontics
Dr. Artley & staff are able to perform most root canals but not all teeth are alike and may require special training and equipment to be done properly. The Doctors work closely with a highly trained endodontist to ensure you receive the best treatment available.
Veneers
Veneers are a terrific cosmetic solution for permanently stained, chipped, discolored, misaligned teeth, or even to revitalize old crown and bridgework. In just two or three dental visits, a veneer can reverse years of stains caused by foods, caffeine and tobacco use. Special thin laminates, called veneers, can also be used to correct discolored, worn down, cracked and chipped teeth. Veneers can also be used to close unsightly gaps between teeth. Stronger types of veneers made of porcelain, also called composite veneers, typically last longer because they are bonded to the tooth.
Extraction
In only the most extreme and necessary cases—such as when its roots are severely damaged beyond repair—we may extract a tooth in preparation for a restorative dentistry procedure, such as dentures. If you have any questions about tooth extraction, please contact us today.
Crowns and Bridges
For teeth that are damaged or decayed, crowns can be the perfect solution. Porcelain crowns fit over damaged teeth, restoring their strength, health, and beauty. Crowns can be matched to your natural tooth color so the fact that you have had dental work is easily concealed.
Inlays/Onlays
Some teeth need greater strength and support than can be given by fillings alone. Inlays and Onlays are tooth-colored restorations that can fill large cavities and repair damaged teeth. Tooth-colored inlays and onlays do their work subtly and beautifully.
Full and Partial Dentures
We provide full and partial dentures that fit and look great. We offer several types of partial and full dentures and related denture and tooth extraction services. Our partial denture services include several acrylics and cast metal partial denture styles. Worried you'll never laugh again because of missing teeth? Our caring staff will give you a good reason to smile, and our experienced dentists will assist you in finding the best match for your needs. We offer an on-site dental lab that not only fabricates your partial dentures but also provides repairs and relines, often with same-day service.

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten teeth using a series of custom-made nearly undetectable aligners. It's been proven to be effective in both clinical research and in practices such as ours nationwide. So whether your teeth are crowded, too far apart, or have shifted since wearing braces, you now have a reason to smile - Ask Dr. Artley! If you require braces but feel embarrassed flashing a mouth full of metal, consider Invisalign, a discreet way of straightening your teeth without all that bulk. When you consult with us at Capeside Family Dentistry you will be given several removable aligners to insert in your mouth. Designed to shift particular teeth into place, aligners are generally first worn in the back teeth and eventually move to the front teeth. Every two weeks, you will change aligners. Each time you switch aligners, your teeth will shift. To ensure that your Invisalign treatment runs smoothly, visit your dentist every six weeks for regular check-ups.
